The Story So Far: Pirates, Monsters, & Madame Doom

OK. LM1 and I decided the best way to figure out just what’s going on with this creepy MONSTER-X business was to retrace all our steps so far.

So here’s what we know. . . .

It all started when LM1 placed her ad in the newspaper, and SOMEBODY sent us the WELCOME TO HORRORLAND binder. It’s the official welcome guide to the theme park. (LM1 is going to post chapter 3 on the site next week!) So, obviously, SOMEBODY wants us to know everything there is to know about HorrorLand.

Then we got those two strange Madame Doom cards. And then, after the IM chat with MONSTER-X, we each got a creepy postcard.

We figured there had to be SOME connection between all these strange items. So we put our heads together and took a really good look at EVERYTHING. And we finally DID notice a connection: All the envelopes and postcards had the same weird postage stamp on them! Sort of a purplish, old-looking stamp with a black skull on it . . .

So it totally seems like all this HorrorLand stuff is coming from ONE PLACE! But who—or WHAT— is sending it???

So, the other day while LM1 was working on her giant HorrorLand map, I read Chapter 3 of the HorrorLand binder. Chapter 3 is all about the Monster Police. According to the binder, the Monster Police are a small group of Horrors that patrols HorrorLand to make sure all the guests (and staff) are following the rules.

I first thought that maybe MONSTER-X was a member of the Monster Police. Someone on the MP team would DEFINITELY know all the ins and outs of HorrorLand. But then I wondered why an MP would be talking to us. It would totally be against all Monster Police rules!

Then I read about a crazy incident at the Hungry Crocs Piggyback Ride when Monster Blood suddenly turned the crocodiles into GIANT crocodiles! Monster Blood is illegal in HorrorLand (because it CLEARLY does terrible things), but somehow, it’s made its way into the park!!!

Meanwhile, my sister — I mean, “LM1”— says she also heard that zombie pirates have been spotted in the park lately, and zombie-pirates are NOT normal—even for HorrorLand. The welcome guide doesn’t mention anything about them.

All of these strange sightings—zombie pirates, Monster Blood—have never happened there before.

I’m going to see if I can find evidence of any other strange sightings.

Clearly, HorrorLand isn’t what it used to be. . . .

We’ll post Chapter 4 of the welcome guide around July 1. Come back then to read all about the Zombie Plaza. And check in on July 11 for the next post!
